This is a very interesting, well-written sci-fi adventure. The novel was first published in the 's, and it's one of many books by author Edmund Cooper (who, unfortunately, is not as popularly known as he ought to be). Edmund Cooper was one of the great British sci-fi writers from the s and s. Almost any of his books make good reading and this one is great. Originally posted on The Tenth Planet.
